Relationship Between Acne and Sugar

Most Sugar Consumption Makes Acne Face and Skin Inflammation Easy. Too much sugar does not only harm the body, such as causing weight gain or diabetes, but also affects the health of your skin.

Acne that often adorns your face, for example, is not always caused by hormonal factors and lazy to treat the skin. Sugar can also cause inflamed skin because sugar increases inflammation.

Not everyone will be affected by sugar in the same way. Some feel that the zits are getting worse when consuming chocolate or sugar, but others don't see this change. Don't also assume that stopping consumption of chocolate will also eliminate all acne problems. When this problem continues to emerge, the best solution is still to consult with a dermatologist.

For some people,  acne scars   cause prolonged skin discoloration. Or, your skin texture becomes imperfect. To overcome this, you are advised to undergo chemical peeling with a qualified dermatologist. You may need a few days to recover (because the effect of the skin becomes dry and causes splinters), but after that the skin looks smooth and shiny.

Consuming sugar excessively has a long-term effect in the form of premature aging and facial scarring. This is because sugar attaches to proteins in the bloodstream, which then form new molecules called advanced glycation end products, or AGE. This compound damages collagen and elastin, which causes the skin to become wrinkled and sag. AGE also neutralizes natural antioxidant enzymes, making the skin more susceptible to sun damage.
