The popular SalesForce CRM comes at a price, and it might be difficult for small businesses to decide on using it or not, especially without any priori experience, and knowing that once you've started using a software, it is very complicated to ever leave it and migrate to another solution.
Therefore, it is very important to choose very carefully which CRM to use!
I've asked several experts for their advices on the subject, and while some of them think that SalesForce is great for small businesses, some others tend to think that HubSpot is better.
Before getting a license and starting using it, make sure you have read these great tips.
Are you using SalesForce CRM and do you have any usage tip for small businesses - or would you on the contrary recommend another solution?
We’ve been using SalesForce for nearly 18 months and are really impressed with the functionality and customizability for our small business. SalesForce is great for us as it’s a cloud based tool which means we never experience any server issues and can access the CRM from our laptops and cell phones. The SalesForce app allows you to log calls, respond to hot leads, work opportunities, or check dashboards from the tip of your fingers. We have found it useful to reach out to all our customers, service providers and partners to let them know we are using SalesForce as there are some useful collaboration features we can take advantage of. One of my favorite features of SalesForce is its ability to access our full suite of social media channels in order to gain insights without having to leave the SalesForce tool. Our sales and marketing approach focuses heavily on social media and so this is an extremely useful feature.

Salesforce is a best in class CRM. It can manage an entire organization from marketing origination through initial inquiry all the way through revenue collections and data capture. However, there is a pretty high barrier to entry with salesforce. It isn’t drag and drop like many Basic CRM’s and can take months to implement, for that reason we use much easier and cost effective systems for small businesses like copper or pipedrive.

I have used Salesforce CRM in my organization and I used Hubspot CRM too. I find the integration in HubSpot with marketing channels is much better than Salesforce CRM. The user behavior on the sites leads to a higher number of website conversations.
Sales teams should be properly aligned with the marketing team in the organization to generate better leads for the business. For that, the right CRM solution plays an important role. I have used a lot of tools in the past decade for various clients.
The most important tip would be always to keep the sales and marketing operations closely and work together to improve revenue.

When it comes to ensuring a smooth business process and streamlined operations to ensure maximum efficiency. Small businesses require CRM platforms that ease up much of the mundane, repetitive, day-to-day tasks and at the same time provide functionalities that help short-staffed small businesses thrive. Another crucial aspect to look for is the cost-effectiveness of a CRM solution. Small businesses cannot afford to overspend on expensive CRM platforms.
Salesforce is the perfect platform that fulfills all these needs and more. The platform is quick and easy to set up, and trailhead ensures users educate themselves on the best possible ways to fully utilize their CRM, without needing to hire professionals. Salesforce Einstein helps users automate a good portion of their day-to-day tasks and helps save time and labor on repetitive tasks. Salesforce also offers a variety of pricing options and the ability to scale-up the platform should the business expand. Other Salesforce benefits include its ability to be easily integrated or customized to fit the needs of the small business, improved customer satisfaction that ensures retention, and marketing expertise offered by Salesforce Pardot.

HubSpot CRM is built to be a platform that allows sales teams to get started quickly without making a lot of changes to their existing workflow. HubSpot CRM is a smart and easy option that has all the basic features needed, but without the often confusing complexity of many other CRM platforms.
