What is included in the project, which workstreams will be migrated, which processes will be moved, and which will not,<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-171\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>&#8211; identify the actors. Who will effectively perform project tasks, at which part, how to manage their project involvement, and ensure business continuity while they are focused on the project,<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-180\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>&#8211; draft the project plan. What is the goal reach, go process by process, and see how it can be done in SAP.<\/p>\n<p>During the workshops, the gaps and satellites are identified in details, along with the organizational structure that will be necessary.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-192\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>The business process gaps is the list of differences between the current organization, and the future process. Each gap will have to be solved before go live and properly tested, and any of them could prevent project from happening if not solved.<\/p>\n<p>The satellites are the list of programs that will not be taken in SAP, but that will be used in parallel even after go-live.<\/p>\n<p>The organization structure is the list of basic information that must be customized in the SAP system to allow any process to happen, such as the company offices locations, the tax applied in the countries, and many more.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"noclass\" title=\"paper, document, plan, pencil, business, construction, office, project, design, blueprint\" href=\"https:\/\/pixnio.com\/miscellaneous\/paper-document-plan-pencil-business-construction-office-project-design-blueprint\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> paper, document, plan, pencil, business, construction, office, project, design, blueprint <\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"b-lazy b-loaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ybierling.com\/images\/medium\/sap\/sap-implementation-steps\/sap-implementation-steps2.jpg\" alt=\"SAP implementation steps : Step 2: business blueprint\" width=\"240\" height=\"159\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">SAP implementation steps : Step 2: business blueprint<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"step-3-realization\"><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-161\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>Step 3: realization<\/h2>\n<p>Once the analyze has been done, it is time for the project central team to start implementing the project.<\/p>\n<p>The organizational information is entered in SAP, the gaps processes solutions are being worked on, the data is prepared to be migrated in the new system, and the project phases are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-163\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/1254144\/ybierling_com-large-leaderboard-2_0__container__\"><iframe id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/1254144\/ybierling_com-large-leaderboard-2_0\" title=\"3rd party ad content\" src=\"https:\/\/tpc.googlesyndication.com\/safeframe\/1-0-32\/html\/container.html\" name=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-is-safeframe=\"true\" data-google-container-id=\"6\" data-load-complete=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>At defined points in time, a test system of SAP with current project advancement is setup, and tested. First step could be one system only with customization, next step with 50% of functionalities implemented, next step a month before go-live with a full simulation.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-187\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span> <a class=\"noclass\" title=\"technology, laptop computer, desk, computer keyboard, office, hand, work\" href=\"https:\/\/pixnio.com\/objects\/computer\/technology-laptop-computer-desk-computer-keyboard-office-hand-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> technology, laptop computer, desk, computer keyboard, office, hand, work <\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"b-lazy b-loaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ybierling.com\/images\/medium\/sap\/sap-implementation-steps\/sap-implementation-steps3.jpg\" alt=\"SAP implementation steps : Step 3: realization\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">SAP implementation steps : Step 3: realization<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"step-4-final-preparation\"><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-162\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>Step 4: final preparation<\/h2>\n<p>The final preparation is not only system-wise, but also people wise.<\/p>\n<p>Everybody has to be trained on the new processes with production like data, and the full set of processes has to be tested and validated in an SAP system.<\/p>\n<p>All processes must be fully defined, and no more gaps should exist, they must all have been solved by this project preparation phase.<\/p>\n<p>Unless the system is not 100% ready for transition, the next step, go-live, should be postponed.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"noclass\" title=\"Checklist Man People Box Hand Goals Pen Notebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maxpixel.net\/Checklist-Man-People-Box-Hand-Goals-Pen-Notebook-2589418\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> Checklist Man People Box Hand Goals Pen Notebook <\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"b-lazy b-loaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ybierling.com\/images\/medium\/sap\/sap-implementation-steps\/sap-implementation-steps4.jpg\" alt=\"SAP implementation steps : Step 4: final preparation\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">SAP implementation steps : Step 4: final preparation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"step-5-go-live\"><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-170\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>Step 5: Go-live<\/h2>\n<p>The Go-Live is one of the most critical part of the project, in which everybody involved puts his maximum attention, and any issue could have maximum impact.<\/p>\n<p>The Go-Live includes the following phases:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; former system stop, as it won&#8217;t be used anymore, the financial periods must be closed, and no further business can happen in the old system,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; final data migration, in which the data is taken from previous system after closure, and moved to the new SAP ERP,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; cutover transition continues with the start of the new SAP system, with some quick tests to validate that all went well.<\/p>\n<p>Once this has been done, a business ramp up is usually planned. For a few days, maximum attention is put to a minimum of business, and it is quickly ramped up to previous volumes within a few weeks, while the potential issues are being solved by the full project team that is still present.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"noclass\" title=\"An exhaust plume surrounds the mobile launcher platform on Launch Pad 39A as space shuttle Atlantis lifts off on the STS-132 mission.
