Ben Graham, Youtuber, 60k Subscribers: you have got to be real and enjoy what you are doing

I have over 60,000 subscribers on my youtube channel and I would say that the ONE tip to make a great YouTube Channel would be authenticity. You have got to be real and enjoy what you are doing, otherwise people will catch on & not be interested in your channel.

I started a platform where you can get video editing for a monthly fee which is aimed at YouTubers & help them every week to produce video content for their channels!

Martha Krejci, influencer, 1.6k YouTube subscribers: get more videos done in less time

Get more videos done in less time. We’re talking time.

None of us have enough of it, and most certainly none of us are getting any of it back.

So, here’s the deal. We NEED to be EFFICIENT with the time we have, so we don’t waste is on stupid stuff that doesn’t grow our business, or make our lives better in some capacity.

And unfortunately, that’s what I usually see...

People wasting TONS. of time doing things that aren’t helpful at all, all in the name of “hustle”...

“But I’m supposed to work my butt off…that’s how you succeed!!”

They frantically say as they are multi-tasking themselves right out of a life worth living...

How can I say all of this with such razor sharp precision on exactly what it looks like?

Because I’ve been there….I’ve done it….and I’m DONE.

Finished.

No more.

The good news…is that people aren’t being jerks, telling you that you need to hustle to create more content …they just don’t know any better…I honestly don’t know anyone out there that runs their business like I do….and that includes multi-millionaires….they come to me asking how to implement this thing too because, at the end of the day, the MILLIONS DON’T MATTER if you’re GIVING UP YOUR LIFE.

Aileen Barker, YouTuber, 12.5k subscribers: answer questions people are actually asking

When starting, or trying to grow, a YouTube channel, the most important thing to do is to make sure to answer questions people are actually asking.

These are the things people are on youtube searching for so by creating videos that answer questions people ask, you're ensure that your video is going to get views. One example is my Ebay Beginners Guide video which answers how do I start making money on ebay? It's a common question that's asked so I created an in-depth video answering it.

Digital Sargeant, creator, 290 YouTube subscribers: Implementing conversation-style tags

Implementing conversation-style tags to my videos has helped me reach so many more people. The tag box often gets overlooked because it is at the very bottom of the optimization page but in reality, it's just as important as the content within the description box. Omitting basic two-word tags such as 'musician marketing' and leverage more conversation style tags such as 'how to market yourself as a musician', can help you get more reach. Essentially re-producing variations of your titles!

Jim Costa, YouTuber, 3.45k subscribers: YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint

There’s lots of ways to grow your YouTube channel. Most of them are terrible because success on YT is a numbers game that goes beyond the number of subscribers/views you have. It’s easy to buy subscribers, but why would you want to? Most subscribers offered by these companies are just bots. It’s much better to have a smaller channel with 50 true subscribers who actually watch your videos all the way through and interact with them (by liking them, commenting on them, watching multiple videos in a row on your channel, etc.) than having 50,000 subscribers who never tune in at all because they aren’t real people.

What most people don’t realize is that YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint. Slow and steady growth is the path to victory for most people, not overnight viral success.

Video builds trust and credibility with your audience because it can establish you as an expert in your field and builds long term relationships. Also, if you can create engaging content that draws attention on social media platforms such as YouTube, it will rank on YouTube when other people are watching similar content. This will garner more views and more exposure for you. Also, if your video ranks well on YT, it will also rank higher in Google and, if you’re lucky, you can appear on page 1 of Google and you’ll be set as this will truly help your growth.

Alexandra Napoli, content creator, 7.72k YouTube subscribers: listen to your audience

Listen to your audience and the algorithm. Look at your last ten videos, did one outperform the rest? Even if it just got an extra 50 views.

Look at the keywords and the title of that video, then try to make more videos based on those. The more you can establish yourself as an expert in one niche, the easier it will be for YouTube to know who to share your videos with. The more YouTube shares your videos, the faster your channel will grow.

Here’s a second one just for fun: Get consistent and post 2-3 times per week. When I was only posting 1 time per week I was growing, but now that I’m consistently posting 3 quality videos a week, all my videos are performing better. YouTube loves consistency and so do your viewers. They want to know when they get to their desk Tuesday afternoon (or whenever) they’ve got a new video from you waiting for them.

David Duford, YouTuber, 15.6k subscribers: create a high volume of outstanding video content

The one thing I did to build my audience and reputation in my business is create a high volume of outstanding video content that made a measurable difference in my viewers' lives.

As soon as I began to pour my heart into the quantity of my content, I noticed my quality improved, which contributed to better rankings for my videos in YouTube search, more views, and longer average views per video.

The best advice I could give any new YouTuber that wants more out of their channel is to commit to daily, quality content that solves your viewers' problems in ways other competing YouTubers do not.

Do this consistently over the course of several years, and watch yourself grow like crazy!

Natik Ameen, SEO Expert, Canz Marketing: optimizing YouTube content for search engines

Video content matters more today than ever before, for nearly every aspect of marketing your YouTube channel. By optimizing YouTube content for search engines plays a large role in driving views to your channel, video titles, descriptions and tags which act like SEO keywords also factor into the equation of gaining views and subscribers. As YouTube SEO determines whether people see your videos, it is, of course, crucial for any modern marketing strategy.

Will Hankinson, IntroCave, 185 YouTube subscribers: Production values matter

Production values matter! You can absolutely record a viral video straight on your phone and throw it up on TikTok, but I feel like YouTube viewers have come to expect a certain level of polish. Use titles and overlays where appropriate. Get a nice intro video. Developing a consistent look and feel makes your videos more memorable.... but it also helps speed up content creation.

Viv Micic, YouTuber: collaborate with others

As a small YouTuber, my best tip to make a great YouTube Channel is to collaborate with others (as I have done in my videos with comedian and actor Josh Cake and actress Shaelyn Connor). Collaboration is a great way to reach established audiences in your niche and build valuable connections with other content creators.

Collaboration also works really well when you cross-promote your videos to IGTV and can tag your collaborator, making your video appear on their Instagram profile.

Shir, Chief Content Officer, TuBeast: master YouTube SEO

My ONE tip to make a great YouTube Channel is to master YouTube SEO. If you want to gain more subscribers on the platform and get more views, and if your ultimate goal is to make money on the platform, you'll need to perfect your YouTube SEO practices. YouTube SEO means using the right keywords in your titles, tags and video descriptions and saying your keywords out loud in your video. It also means optimizing your video's metatags with those keywords for better visibility on the platform's internal search engine. The more visible your videos are, and the higher they rank in the search engine, the more people are likely to find and click on your videos to watch them. If your content is excellent and compelling, the higher the chances are that these people will subscribe to your channel, as well.

Robin Madelain, Content Outreach Executive, Ranksoldier: Your content should do the talking

If you are wondering to attract viewers from all walks of life for your YouTube channel, then get committed fully to it. Reports show that YouTube channels that update or post more than once a week are doing much better and enjoying more engagement than their own expectations. Your content should do the talking than you. Posting any video should become a regular schedule on your channel to let viewers understand its gravity. Do you even know that a regular schedule with multiple posts would help your fetch your channel in the procedure? Create a library of substantial content on your channel so that viewers can feel bribed and enticed with a whirlpool of videos. A profound content which gets updated multiple times i.e. twice or thrice a week will invite more YouTube subscribers.

Shiv Gupta, CEO, Incrementors Web Solutions: Increase Your Uploading Frequency

This tip may sound intimidating at first, but to grow your YouTube channel, you need to increase your posting frequency to at least one video a week.

Don’t worry; you don’t need a design firm or fancy advertising budget to get this done. Today’s smartphones offer excellent video recording ability, and tools such as Animoto make editing videos easy for anyone. Consistency is of the utmost importance. Try to post at the same time each day or week, and keep your subscribers updated about when new videos will arrive.
